Empowering civil society organizations in Georgia
Project objectives
The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations in Georgia by supporting them to face current challenges and to continue their activities effectively. By equipping civil society organizations representatives with essential skills and practical knowledge, it can contribute to their capacity to manage projects, secure funding and implement effective initiatives that contribute to the wider development of society.
Actions and results
The project consists of four main phases:
- A public expression of interest - a call for local civil society organizations to participate in the project.
- A needs and capacity assessment among selected civil society organizations to understand where the main gaps exist.
- Capacity building training and workshops.
- Post-training evaluation and development plans.
By following a four-step operational logic, the project will ensure a coherent progression from needs identification and participant selection to skills development and strategic planning. Activities are designed to achieve tangible results, contributing to the empowerment and resilience of local NPOs in Georgia, even in a limited regulatory and funding environment.
Expected results include increased organizational resilience, enhanced networking and cooperation among NGOs, and adoption of sustainable and innovative practices.
