The project topic is professional empowerment of internally displaced persons from Artsakh, so that they acquire (or improve) practical skills and knowledge to work in agriculture and start their own business.  The result is: at least 40 refugees have started their own agricultural enterprise; training and information events have reached at least 250 refugees; in addition, the network operates among small agricultural entrepreneurs in Armenia (including refugees). The training groups are divided between 3 topics: beekeeping, poultry farming/egg production; cultivation of berries/herbs, and 40 micro-subsidies are issued in each topic. There will also be a study trip to Estonia and the final conference, with the participation of other international donors/projects. 

The partner of the project is the association Organic Armenia and teh Organic Estonia association.

Project objectives

The overall objective of the project is to increase social cohesion and promote sustainable agricultural development in Armenia. 

Actions and results

1. Preparatory phase

2. Dissemination of the training and micro-grants programme, meetings in local authorities - July, August.

3. Group assembly, implementation of the training programme - August-November.

4. Study visits - October-November.

5. Study visit and seminar in Estonia: September-October.

6. Small investments: November-December.

7. Final conference: December
