Enhancing capacity of the Human Rights Protection Center in Zhytomyr
Project objectives
The aim of the project is to set up the premises of the Human Rights Centre's office in Zhytomyr and provide not only office space but also a training programme for staff from the Zhytomyr region as well as other regions. The training programme will consist of study visits to Estonia and various training sessions to help build the capacity of the Centre and share Estonian experience and best practices in the field of human rights. The new spacious premises and the training programme will contribute to the development and capacity building of the Human Rights Centre's office in Zhytomyr.
Actions and results
- The concept of the training programme will be finalised, with selected areas and topics of greater interest to the staff of the Human Rights Centre.
- At least 15 staff from the Human Rights Centre will participate in the thematic study visit on child protection.
- At least 15 Human Rights Centre staff will participate in the thematic study visit on domestic violence.
- At least 15 Human Rights Centre staff will participate in the thematic study visit on detention/prison issues.
- At least 15 staff of the Human Rights Centre will undergo further training.
- The construction of the Human Rights Centre and the furnishing of the office space will be carried out.
