We are organizing Latitude59 Kenya Edition for the second time, and considering the welcome from the local community, we can expect a bigger turnout than the first time. Since there is more time for preparations this time, we can expect that the involvement of local partners will be greater and the impact will be more extensive.

The first link connecting the technology communities of Kenya and Estonia was created with the 2023 conference, and Latitude59 Kenya Edition vol 2 allows to involve more local start-ups, investors and also to do more follow-up activities, to involve more of the local and international investor community, which was more difficult to convince before the previous conference than expected.

Project objectives

The purpose of the event is to connect the Kenyan and Estonian startup and business ecosystem to an even greater and more effective extent, to expand the collective home, to demonstrate Estonia's transparent and unified ecosystem of start-up entrepreneurs, and to promote the exchange of knowledge between Estonian founders and local Kenyan entrepreneurs and community members.

Actions and results

The preparation for the event starts already at the beginning of May, and at Latitude59 in Tallinn, we can announce the happening of vol 2 in Kenya and a wider international audience for the event in the course of communication activities. Preparatory activities to involve partners will start already this spring, which will give more time to achieve results. Since Latitude59 is a community event both in Estonia (and also outside), it cannot be achieved without the community and local partners.

The expected result is a startup and technology community connecting Estonia and Kenya, who can continue their entrepreneurial journey even more successfully with the help of shared experiences and knowledge.
