Activities include ongoing teacher training programs modeled after Mondo's successful endeavors in Northern Uganda, now expanding to Western Uganda to equip educators with essential digital skills. In Kenya, the emphasis lies on implementing a competency-based curriculum, extending training initiatives from Kakuma Refugee Camp to Western Kenya.

Mondo's objective is to fortify the educational systems of both nations through close collaboration with local partners and Ugandan Ministry of Education and Sports and the Ministry of Education Kenya. The project is executed in partnership with local entities to extend its reach and ensure lasting outcomes.

Project objectives

The aim of this project is to disseminate and apply the successful practices of digital development from Estonia to East Africa. Main focus is to support  educational reforms in Kenya and enhancing the digital proficiency of educators in Uganda.

Actions and results

Activities include ongoing teacher training programs modeled after Mondo's successful endeavors in Northern Uganda.

Direct beneficiaries surpass 400 education professionals in Kenya and Uganda, comprising primary school teachers and students in teachers' colleges. Moreover, the project bolsters the network of local governments, facilitating sustainable educational reform implementation and broader community impact. By fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, the project cultivates new opportunities, reinforcing the education system and advancing digital literacy across Kenya and Uganda.
