Enhancement of the Higher Education Quality in Ukraine
Project objectives
The aim of the project is to support the Ukrainian National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA) in developing and implementing a model for institutional accreditation of higher education institutions.
Actions and results
The expected outcome is an institutional accreditation model that complies with European standards and guidelines (ESG) while considering the local context, and which has been piloted in at least three higher education institutions.
Planned activities include:
- needs assessment, including information exchange seminars with NAQA staff;
- establishment of a joint working group between HAKA and NAQA to develop accreditation requirements and processes;
- self-evaluation training for institutions undergoing accreditation;
- assessment training for accreditation experts (mixed Estonian-Ukrainian teams);
- piloting accreditation in three higher education institutions;
- and organizing a follow-up seminars for NAQA staff and representatives of accredited higher education institutions.
