The overall objective of the project is to increase the export capacity of Armenian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by supporting their systematic entry into international markets. Through practical export training, companies will gain the necessary knowledge and tools to prepare effective export plans, find suitable target markets, and overcome logistical and regulatory obstacles.

The project directly contributes to the diversification of the Armenian economy and increasing its competitiveness in the international arena, while also supporting the goals of Estonian development cooperation – to strengthen the business environment in partner countries and promote sustainable economic growth.

Project objectives

The program aims to provide Armenian businesses with a systematic framework for export planning, leveraging their strengths and market opportunities. It covers market selection, entry strategies, product and service adaptation, certifications, pricing, logistics, partner identification, and marketing.

Actions and results

The program activities are tailored to local needs and are evidence-based, drawing on previous success stories from Estonia and Ukraine. The project activities are divided into clear phases that lead to concrete and measurable results for the target group.

The project consists of four main phases:

  1. Preparation and selection of participants (March–April 2025)
  2. Training program and practical workshops (May–November 2025)
  3. Mentoring and individual counseling (June–November 2025)
  4. Completion and impact analysis (December 2025)

At least 80% of participants are expected to take their first steps in export or enter a new market. In the long term, the program will foster an export-oriented business culture and create a network of experienced export practitioners in Armenia.
