Supporting the modernization of the Ukrainian education system in Western Ukraine
Project objectives
The aim is to support the modernization of the vocational education system of Ukraine through study visits to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland, as well as through curriculum development work, consultancy, development of further training system and project writing and management skills.
Direct beneficiaries are employees of vocational training institutions of Western Ukraine including managers, social partners of vocational education institutions incl. regional government employees.
Actions and results
As a result of the project;
- Vocational educational institutions have the basic knowledge of writing and managing projects for applying for support from various financing funds used in Ukraine.
- There are contacts for cooperation with vocational education institutions in Estonia, Latvia, Finland and Lithuania.
- The schools that participated in the study visits have analyzed the existing curricula in the school and realized which changes are necessary in the curriculum development work, incl. what are the possible new curricula that can be opened.
- The need to start a system of in-service training has been explained to the managements of vocational education institutions, together with the generation of ideas about which courses to offer, which could be in the curricula.
- Vocational educational institutions have been supported in the course of consultations for the modernization of education.
- Master classes have been conducted to modernize curricula and to increase the competitiveness of graduates on the European labor market.
