Microcredential “Fundamentals of the European Union“
Project objectives
The microcredential program aims to support Ukraine's preparations as a candidate country for accession to the European Union (EU). The online distance learning program is aimed at Ukrainian government officials, civil society representatives, and other target groups involved in the preparation for accession to the EU.
Actions and results
The program consists of three courses that are key to understanding the functioning of the EU: 1) The EU Policy Making course introduces the main institutions of the EU, their structure, tasks, functioning and impact, as well as the policy-making and decision-making process; 2) The EU Enlargement course provides an overview of the EU enlargement process and the challenges related to it, based on, among others, the experience of Estonia and addressing the progress of Ukraine; 3) The Contemporary Challenges of European Integration course is aimed at discussing issues on the EU agenda
Ukrainian officials, experts and civil society representatives who have completed the program have the knowledge and skills that allow them to navigate the accession process well and to lead and support the preparations for accession to the EU.
